The cost would be $20.00 with $5.00 of it going back to the PTO, or $15.00 and $5.00 goes back to the PTO.Denise Gardner from Baurers Market talked about powdered dips that PTO could use as a fundraiser also. They would sell for $5.00 each and PTO would get $2.00 back for each one sold. Denise would take care of all the packaging per child and deliver them to the schools. These dips are a quick easy way for PTO to make some money and could be done more than once a year. OLD BUSINESS: Gifts for school Dave at Oaktree has a project he is working on but then he will be able to put the sign up at Ayres. Currently the ground is still frozen so the Campbell sign will have to wait until the weather warms up. With regards to the PTO movie and when that will take place Sue said they are flexible. However Campbell will be taking CSAP's so we will need to work around that. Also the principles wanted everyone to know that only G-rated movies will be allowed. Also mentioned that the School Board will have the final say. Staff appreciation, Chantell brought some books for people to look at to find something they liked. She was looking at the coffee mugs those would cost $270.00 for 250 or more. Other ideas were notepads and or t-shirts made by Garcia Sports. The idea was the volunteers should get the coffee mugs and staff would get the t-shirts. There will need to be 100 shirts made up, and Heather said she would check with Garcia Sports. Chuck motioned to accept that we do this and Cindy 2nd the motion. Field Trips Chris stated that 2nd grade will be going to a play and then to the zoo. As of right now there are no dates set. The cost for the play will be $8.00 still unsure of the cost for the zoo. The children will bring a sack lunch. We would like to see 4 parent volunteers per classroom and it will be first come first serve basis. Motion to accept came form Heather and Jacie 2nd the motion. NEW BUSINESS: Cash for class winner this month was Maleah Haley UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Notecards, Michelle would like for an artist who will be helping with the project to come and spend time with the children. Ayres was suppose to get the swings from Stevens but there have been some maintenence issues. This will be further investigated so the matter was tabled. STAFF REMARKS: Sue mentioned the RIF event that will be held at Ayres Feb 21st. Should be loads of fun it will have a "bug" theme. Sue also took this time to talk with those whom were in attendence about the neg press that has been going around in light of the school abduction and the action that was taken. She regrets the situation and there have been several items brought up to help if this were to happen again. She stated that Brush has a reverse 911 system the cost of this would be $3.00 per child. Dr. Christianson came and spoke to the children about "Stranger Danger" Right now the staff are wearing colored vests and the police are patrolling the school areas. There has been a meeting with Roy Brevik and he gave some good advice, also Dr. Summers is investigating the situation.
